1. What this site is
whale-watching.tours is an independent editorial guide and price comparison for whale-watching trips worldwide. It is published by an editorial team that is not a tour operator, a travel agency, a booking platform, a marine park, a sanctuary or a regulator.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for any operator, association or authority named on this site. Company names, boat names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify and discuss them.
2. We take no bookings
No booking, payment or reservation is made on this site. Where a page offers a booking link, it sends you to GetYourGuide, which contracts with you directly under its own terms. Your contract for any tour is with the operator or the platform, never with us.
That means cancellations, refunds, date changes, late arrivals, missed departures, weather policies, safety rules and sighting guarantees are all governed by the terms shown on your voucher and on the operator's own site. Read those. Where they differ from anything written here, they win.
3. Prices, availability and facts
Prices, durations, ratings and review counts come from the GetYourGuide feed and are refreshed periodically; the date of the last refresh appears at the foot of every page. Prices move, tours sell out and listings are withdrawn, so the figure on a page is an indication, not an offer. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout.
Facts about seasons, species, approach distances, permits and park fees are taken from official sources and cited on the page. Regulations change. Nothing on this site is legal, medical, financial or safety advice, and it is not a substitute for the operator's briefing or the instructions of a skipper or a ranger.
No sighting is ever guaranteed. Whales are wild animals. Where an operator advertises a guarantee, we describe the clause as that operator publishes it — in most cases it is a free repeat trip, not a refund. Neither the operator nor we can promise you will see anything.
4. Affiliate links
Booking links on this site are affiliate links to GetYourGuide. If you book after following one, we may receive a commission; you pay no more than you would otherwise. Those links are marked as sponsored and go directly to GetYourGuide.
Commission does not influence our editorial judgment. No payment has been accepted to include, rank, praise or remove any operator, and none will be.
5. Photographs and content
Photographs are freely licensed files from Wikimedia Commons, credited under each image and listed in full on the photo credits page; each is used under the terms of its own licence and remains the property of its photographer. Maps, charts and diagrams are generated by this site.
The text of this site is ours. You may quote a short passage with a visible link back. Wholesale copying, republication, or reuse for training or for building a competing guide is not permitted without written permission.
6. Availability and links out
We try to keep the site accurate and online, but it is offered as it is: no warranty of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
External links are provided for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or their privacy practices.
7. Limits of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for loss or damage arising from the use of this site or from reliance on anything published here — including a trip that was canceled, a whale that did not appear, a price that had changed, or a rule that had been amended since we checked it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

This site is operated by the publisher of this site, who can be reached at the address above; no other party is responsible for its content. These terms, and any dispute about them or about the use of this site, are governed by the laws of the publisher's country of establishment, and the courts of that country have jurisdiction. If you book a tour, that contract is separate and carries its own governing law, set by the operator or the platform on your voucher.
Nothing here removes rights you hold as a consumer under the mandatory law of the country you live in.
